Elizabeth Keith

Born in Scotland in 1887, Keith travelled to Japan when she was 28, staying for nine years. The Watanabe Print Shop published more than a hundred of her print designs in those and succeeding years, and she is considered to be one of the founding artists of the 'shin-hanga' movement. She died in America in 1956.
